This includes protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth). We understand the importance placed on the privacy of your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we will take all reasonable steps to collect, use and protect your personal information and it applies to all clients and suppliers. This information may be changed or updated from time to time.
Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you. This includes personal information about you regardless of how the information is recorded.
Information collected in order to facilitate travel arrangements may include your full name, age, photograph, gender, postal address, contact telephone and mobile numbers, email, copies of passport, driving license, travel insurance, bedding and seat preference, dietary requirements, frequent flyer membership, next of kin, emergency contact and credit card details if preferred mode of payment. On occasion as many of the places in Africa are remote, and not easily accessible, it may be necessary for you to consent to providing us with more ‘sensitive information’, such as details of your mobility, medical history, weight and any other special conditions that we need to be aware of. The company collects personal information necessary to lawfully and ethically carry on its business either through the website, by e-mail, in person, by telephone, letter or fax.

If you would like to access any of our services on an anonymous basis, please tell us. If this is possible and lawful, we will take all reasonable steps to comply with your request. However, we may not be able to provide the services or travel arrangements in question if we are not provided with the personal information requested.

We use the personal information you provide only for purposes consistent with the reason you provided it, for a directly related purpose, or to receive marketing and other promotional material. Should you not wish to participate or receive further marketing activities from us, you do have the option of opting out or unsubscribing and your details will be removed from our database.

In some situations we may also obtain personal information about you from a third party source. If we collect information about you in this way, we will take reasonable steps to contact you and ensure that you are aware of the purposes for which we are collecting your personal information.

We will not use your personal information in a manner contrary to the Privacy Act or this Policy.

We will use and disclose your personal information only for the purpose for which it was collected. For the purposes referred to in this Policy, we may disclose your personal information to our third party contracted suppliers.

We do send personal information out of Australia to our contracted suppliers and operators specific to your travel arrangements, and will do so only with your consent. When sending this information overseas we will take measures to protect your personal information and ensure that the country of destination has similar protections in relation to privacy or that we enter into contractual arrangements with the recipient of your personal information that safeguards your privacy.

We will not disclose any sensitive information without your consent, unless there is a need to disclose such information in accordance with the Privacy Act or to comply with any other legislation.

We guarantee that we will not sell your personal information to any third party, except as permitted under the Privacy Act or by law.

Our travel services include arranging accommodation, transportation, tours, sightseeing, safari activities, flights, car hire, trains and river cruises.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information that we hold is accurate and up to date. You have a right to access and copy your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided for in the Privacy Act. If you believe that personal information we hold about you is not accurate, complete or up to date, or your details are about to change, please inform us and we will take all reasonable steps to correct or update our records.
We will take all reasonable steps to secure your personal information.
A person may use our website anonymously but any information which a person chooses to submit to us will be treated in accordance with this Policy.

Our Internet service provider may record details of visits to our site and when visiting our site your visit may be logged and the following information collected:

– Visitor’s server address, domain name and browser type;
– Date and time of the visit to the site;
– Pages accessed and the documents downloaded;
– Previous website visited;
– User’s operating system;
– Links followed from other sites to get to the current site.

The information listed above is collected for statistical and research purposes only and will only be utilised internally by the Company.

If you have a complaint about how we collect, use, disclose, manage or protect your personal information, or otherwise consider there may be a breach of the Privacy Act, please contact us in writing.

We treat all complaints seriously and intend to resolve your complaint within a reasonable timeframe, usually 14 days or otherwise as soon as practicable. However, in some complex cases, resolution may take longer.

Once the complaint has been received, we will try to resolve the matter in a number of ways:

1 Request for further information: We may request further information from you. You should be prepared to provide us with as much information as possible, including details of any relevant dates and documentation. This will enable us to investigate the complaint and determine an appropriate solution. All details provided will be kept confidential.
2 Discuss options: We will discuss options for resolution with you and if you have suggestions about how the matter might be resolved you should raise these with our General Manager.
3 Investigation: Where necessary, the complaint will be investigated. We will try to do so within a reasonable time frame. It may be necessary to contact others in order to proceed with the investigation. This may be necessary in order to progress your complaint.
4 Conduct of our employees: If your complaint involves the conduct of our employees we will raise the matter with the employees concerned and seek their comment and input.
