Bygone Era

This true colonial style safari lodge, named after famous artist and explorer Thomas Baines, offers a choice of eight air-conditioned en-suite Explorer Suites, each with commanding views of the Zambezi River from a comfortably furnished veranda. Decorated with rich, classical fabrics, natural hardwood timbers and leather, walk-in shower and spacious dressing area, and complimentary mini-bar, the suites take luxury to the limits in the Zambezi Valley. The main open plan lodge features library, lounge, bar and dining areas, swimming pool and an outdoor boma-style fireplace which is lit every evening. A two bedroomed cottage is also available and ideal for families or friends travelling together wanting some extra space or privacy. A wide variety of activities are available to discover different aspects of the African bush, both on land in open 4X4 vehicles and on the water in boats and canoes.
