This tented camp is a testament to the history of the area. Built on the foundations of an historical camp, it pays homage to the unique landscape around it. Blending absolute luxury with complete rustic authenticity, Anabezi is the definition of an African Safari. Located at the lower end of the Zambezi National Park, the camp offers just 11 spacious and luxuriously appointed tents with indoor and outdoor bathrooms and a plunge pool. Sitting on raised timber platforms, connected by wooden walkways, magnificent views are provided of both the Zambezi River and Mushika River flood plain. With year-round grazing, here you could encounter spectacular game viewing just from the privacy of your tent. The camp is well equipped with open game viewing vehicles and power boats, and daily activities include, game drives – with a maximum of just four guests per vehicle, night drives, walking safaris, canoeing, fishing and bird watching – a prime destination with approximately 500 species of birds to be found in the Lower Zambezi region.
Anabezi’s sister camp Amanzi, meaning water in the local Tonga language, sits just a couple of kilometres downstream. The intimate camp consists of just four en-suite tents each standing on a raised teak deck overlooking the Zambezi River. The tented rooms are generously spaced apart for privacy, connected by a raised walkway to the main area, which offers some stunning views of the mosaic of islands beyond which are home to a group of majestic bull elephants.
