Located in the non-malarial Madikwe Game Reserve, an easy four hour drive or 45 minute flight from Johannesburg, the family owned and operated Madikwe Safari Lodge nestles amongst the rolling hills overlooking the game rich plains. The privately owned property is part of the More Collection and home to three separate intimate lodges – Lelapa, Dithaba and Kopano, totalling just 20 luxury suites. Each thatched suite has a comfortable sitting and lounge area, fireplace, en-suite bathroom and a spacious timber deck with plunge pool overlooking the bush. The main lodge areas feature lounge and dining areas, inside and out, large decks and an outside boma for eating under the stars. Morning and late afternoon game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles, with opportunities to observe all of the large game species from elephant to big cats and wild dog.
