LOWER ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK

Pristine wilderness

A relatively undeveloped region, much of the beauty lies in the pristine wilderness. With the Zambezi River forming a natural border to the park and the Zambezi Escarpment serving as a stunning backdrop, this is one of the most attractive parks and a place where you can really get up close and personal with the wildlife. It is home to all of the major species with amazing sightings to be had. Elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, wild dog, hyena, waterbuck, zebra, impala, bushbuck and kudu to name a few. Birdlife in the area is also outstanding, making this a real hotspot for enthusiasts. Wonderful camps and lodges are all located on the banks of the Zambezi River and are small and intimate offering a fabulous experience for anyone wanting something authentic, unique and incredibly special on safari. With such a wide range of activities offered by the camps, including guided canoeing, river cruising and fishing, open vehicle game drives, nights drives and walking safaris, this is a destination like no other.
